德國科技公司西門子（Siemens）高階主管埃斯科巴（Agustin Escobar）搭乘了周四墜毀於紐約市哈德遜河的直升機，機上6人，其中包括三名兒童，全數罹難，而直升機墜入河流的驚悚畫面也曝光。
綜合外媒報導，這起悲劇發生在周四，一家人原本只是安排了一趟午後的觀光行程，準備從空中俯瞰曼哈頓朦朧的海岸線，卻在直升機墜落新澤西州海岸外後畫下悲慘句點，共造成三名兒童與三名成人（包括飛行員）罹難。

目擊者表示，這架直升機從空中墜落，倒置撞上海面，碎片散落、水花四濺的畫面令人怵目驚心。
目前關於直升機為何墜毀仍知之甚少，但其急速墜落的畫面令目擊者震驚，第一時間趕到的救援人員也盡全力進行搜救。
紐約市警察局局長潔提施（Jessica Tisch）表示，下午3點17分左右，警方接獲多通911報案，指出在哈德遜河、霍博肯的Pier A公園附近有直升機墜毀。救難人員抵達現場後，警方從水中救出四人，紐約市消防局（FDNY）則救出兩人。

提施指出，其中四人在現場被宣告死亡，另外兩人則被送往當地醫院。澤西市市長富洛普（Steven Fulop）稍後在社群平台X表示，兩名兒童送往澤西市醫療中心後不治身亡。市長亞當斯：「我們對這家人的遭遇深感哀痛。」
