美國國務院在今天出版的中國人權報告裏面，正式提到了2008年11月13日被正式逮捕的原南京師範大學副教授，中國新民黨代主席郭泉先生。相關的文字如下：
On May 18, police detained Nanjing-based blogger and professor Guo Quan after Guo posted articles critical of the government's response to the May 12 earthquake in Sichuan Province. Guo was released 10 days later but was detained again on November 13 by Nanjing authorities on suspicion of "inciting subversion of state power."
我們希望國際社會和民運團體，繼續關注郭泉先生，繼續營救郭泉先生，也繼續支持中國新民黨的網絡組黨的努力。我們相信，在不遠的將來，中國一定會成為一個民主憲政的新國家。郭泉和他的朋友們的努力和犧牲是不會付之東流的。
