美軍南方司令部（SOUTHCOM）2月17日公佈，美軍16日晚在東太平洋和加勒比海打擊3艘販毒船隻，船上11人死亡。
南方司令部在社交平台X發文指出，16日晚間的打擊行動，是根據南方司令部指揮官唐諾文（Francis L. Donovan）指示，由「南方之矛行動」（Operation Southern Spear）的聯合特遣部隊，對3艘恐怖組織營運的船隻進行打擊。
文中指出，其中兩艘事發時在東太平洋航行，分別有4人被擊斃；另一艘則在加勒比海被打擊，3人死亡；美軍無人傷亡。 帖文並附上3艘船隻被攻擊的畫片。
